Sport About started business in August of 1981 when we opened a small team related sporting goods showroom. Our main emphasis was to service schools, youth sports and other organizations with quality sporting goods and screen printing. We are part of a national buying group that allows us to keep our pricing competitve and gives us the ability to offer a very wide range of products.
Ken has been heavily involved with youth sports on a personal level for over 15 years. His first hands on experience was in 1975 when he coached both his first t-ball team and a fifth grade basketball team. During the past 15 years he has been involved with youth organizations through soccer, flag football, basketball, softball and Little League baseball.
Wanting to reach a larger customer base and stay more current with an evolving retail market, Sport About made some business changes in 2007 and began developing this website in 2008. We have added thousands of products of interest to athletic directors, coaches and physical education instructors to this website. We will not be stocking all of our products on the site, but will continue custom ordering as we have done for over 27 years.
The goal with this website is to continue offering to schools, recreation departments, youth organizations, camps and other institutional customers some of the best quality sporting goods equipment from the leading manufacturers at very competitive prices.
